CET stands for Central England Temperature, and there are hundreds of years of temperature records so you can see mean temperatures from 1659 and rainfall from 1766, also sunshine records from 1929.

CET is based on a geographical area of England, averaging data from actual recording stations.

The raw year by year historical data is available on the Met Office website, but I have calculated the averages on the following pages myself.
