A warm month, more like October than November. Mean temp 9.2C was 2nd highest (in last 56 years here), exceeded only by 9.7C in 1994. Although the max temp was not exceptional, the min temp 1.9C was the highest on record here.
Rainfall was below normal, and cumulative Jan-Nov only 468mm, the lowest on record here. Thunderstorm on 3rd with short duration downpour of 6.2mm. Earls High School 1km away was struck by lightning on 3rd, 3 times around 1311.

A mild month with 8th highest mean temp in 56 years records, and setting a new rcord for highest lo-min temp -1.1C, beating the previous record -1.2C in 1972. Temperatures normal until 12th, then cool spell before becoming mild from 22nd to 31st. Rainfall slightly below normal, most falling 12th-13th and 31st. No snowfall (true of about half the years) or fog reported (more unusually as only 9 years have not had any). With it being mild, there have been few air frosts, only 3 reported making it the 5th fewest in 56 years, and 8 ground frosts which is the 7th fewest. Some sunshine on 14 days, 17 remained sunless. 
Cumulative rainfall for whole of 2011 was only 535.2mm, just 70% of normal, making this year the driest here in the last 56 years.
